Background - David is the Duke of Sigel . He took the position after his father died some 4 years ago. David did not want the job at first, his younger brother Adam does. David grew up with his studies and wandering the mountains of Sigel while Adam studied the court. Adam would do almost anything to be in charge of Sigel. This attitude has made David reluctantly take the throne of Sigel.
David and Adam are from an old household , now dwindling in numbers. His house, Sigel, was established pre-Barlo, in the days of Oriaal. David has plans to marry Lady Elysse Poza Attenmoor, which would combine the both territories. Only Adam seems to care to about keeping the family "purity". In fact, Adam has taken steps to continue the family line by impregnating every maiden he can find, royal, noble, or serf.
