Session 11

"On the Shores of Redshore"

Saturday Jan 31st 2004 (BJDM)

The rescued harem girls are all taken to the occupied Kilmoorian vessel. They are apprehensive but excited, free from their slavery to Marajid Alingin. The pixie in a jar is let out. Her name is Talia Glittergold, but she is sick, her color dull and grey, due to her long imprisonment.

Maurice puts Brigit in charge while he, Kazier, Methos, and Alric go back to the estate to do some looting. With what they take they can pay their crew and get some starting money for the newly freed girls.

Using curtains torn down from the library they ransack the place. Time is short, there is only a few hours until dawn. They grab all manner of valuables, a silver harp, bone dice, oils, perfumes, a jade elephant statue, silver trinkets and more.

While checking one room filled with incense, Alric and Kazier get a bit drugged. The incense is Dragon Spice and before too long they are staring at lovely hallucinations. Maurice and Methos find the two and drag them out before they get too lost in their vivid dreams.

The harem room has a domesticated lion there. Maurice pats it on the head while he goes on his looting spree. Methos takes a telescope and they then all head out, lowering the goods with a rope to their waiting boat. By the time they get on board both Alric and Kazier have throbbing headaches.

Brigit steers the vessel out to link back up with the Mer who are taking care of the Island Sunrise.

Lorna takes charge of the girls, getting them some food and some clothes to replace their lingerie. The crew are in high spirits, now that their mission is almost accomplished.

As morning comes they see the Sunrise in the distance and farther away is another ship. Methos gazes through the telescope and sees it as another Kilmoorian warship, slowly moving in to check out the Corvellian vessel. It has oars in the water with gun ports open. There are definitely slaves on board.

The other ship probably has 25-30 soldiers on it and it will certainly be a very tough fight. However the Corvellians have two things in their favor. Surprise, the Kilmoorians will be taken off guard when they are fired on by one of their own. Then there is the Mer. When Rodish and his people strike up from the deep, that will certainly come as another shock.

The Kilmoorians grapple with the Sunrise and a dozen or so of them climb on over. They are on the deck, making very attractive targets. Brigit remains at the wheel, carefully guiding her own ship in, getting close, very close. At Maurice's command there is a barrage of cannon fire blasting through the Kilmoorians on the Sunrise . Methos also fires his bow and drops another foe in this massive surprise attack.

Alric flies over and sees that the enemy ship is frantically trying to return fire. There is an open powder keg nearby and the brave pixie ignites it with a spark spell. A ferocious explosion rips through the enemy ship. Many Kilmoorians are killed, and those that go falling into the waves never do come back up, the waiting Mer see to that. Alric is badly burned, the concussion knocking him from the air and sending him unconscious into the waters as well.

The enemy ship is devastated by the explosion, and it's rigging collapses over towards the Sunrise entangling the two. Rapidly it begins to sink, taking the Sunrise with it, and in moments it will be gone. There is not much time to act.

Wheeling around and getting in close, Maurice, Kazier, and Methos leap at their enemies. The shaken Kilmoorians are hacked, stabbed, and their chaos-worshipping souls sent violently off to serve their dark gods. It is not much of a fight.

There are screams for help from the hold and Maurice dives in to see what he can do. Some Mer swim in through the great hole in the ship. The slaves are freed and taken off the doomed vessel. Ten elves, three dwarves, and a lone human are taken to safety.

The sailors from the Sunrise clear the rigging of the sinking Kilmoorian ship and it goes on down, leaving only some churning waves, pieces of debris and a damaged Island Sunrise behind.

The Mer are there, having finished off any Kilmoorians that had survived. Not all the slaves made it, four perished in the blast. Rodish brings up the badly injured Alric, who is then stabilized by the magic's of Methos. Afterwards, Methos also works on others who are also hurt, especially the galley slaves.

These people are fishermen from Corvel and the Seris Isles. All had been captured by the Kilmoorians and put into slavery, each and every one. They are all extremely grateful that they have a second chance at life.

The Mer return the Sunrise and the captured Kilmoorian vessel. They were only going to sink the Kilmoorian vessel, but they know we can use it to return home. The Sunrise is taken along in tow, some crew going over to man it.

Elisha says her farewells to Rodish and the Mer. She is going to Corvel to be with her lover, Glendel once more. Someday she hopes to return to the sea for good.

For nine days they travel across the Sea of Courage , returning to their distant nation. The injured Alric is tended to by Talia, who helps him recover while she too regains her strength. In time her color and light come back to full luminosity.

The harem girls are excited about their new found freedom. They tell all of the twisted sexual perversions of Marajid Alingin and his guests, they look forward to a new life. Lorna teaches them about Corvel, what they can expect when they arrive there. She dispels many of the nasty rumors that had been told to them by their various, dragon-worshipping masters.

Early in the morning they approach the coastline and move towards Redshore. Everyone is standing tall and proud, dressed in their finest clothes. This is a day of triumph, a day they will all long remember. They've traveled across the sea to Kilmoor, freed slaves, killed their warriors, looted their estates, and returned home to tell the tale.

As they arrive many fishermen wave and sail alongside. They see Corvel's flag a top this captured vessel and they cheer them on. Brigit steers into port, the Sunrise right behind.

A full garrison is there to greet them. Captain Scrimms is with his guards and he is very impressed by what he sees. "Another warship for Corvel?" He says with a smile.

Old Captain Ferard and Glendel arrive, and Brigit along with Elisha go to them. There are many embraces and warm hugs. Everyone is in a celebratory mood and the majority of the people head on over to the Whaler's Inn . All of Redshore basks in their triumph.

While the crew, freed harem girls and slaves party it up, Maurice, Kazier, and Methos go to sell off the loot they had taken. Going to several merchants all the treasures are sold, including the illegal Dragon Spice. Over ten thousand geld gets generated from the bartering off of the many items.

Alrick and Kazier notice that some of the paperwork that they stole makes references to Alingin do some illegal business with Cirabur, at a place called Cooper's Point. Cirabur is next to the traitorous Holaf! This will have to be looked into later, for its party time at the Whaler's Inn .

Going to the inn, Fare greets them all warmly and gives many hugs. The money is split up. 5,000 goes to the ten man crew as well as Brigit and Lorna. 2,500 go to the assorted freed people. Maurice, Kazier, Methos, and Alric all get to keep a little less than 800 for their efforts in this adventure.

All this extra coin kicks the party into high gear. The crew and bar patrons all sing into a raucus chorus of "Joxer the Mighty."

Kazier breaks out some Kilmoorian rum and it's all a blur from there. Ferard is very grateful that Brigit has returned. "My little girl is a woman now. I am very proud of her."

Glendel talks about repairing the Sunrise . He and Elisha plan on staying in Redshore, at least until the baby is born.

Alric and Talia fly off and frolic merrily in some nearby woods. Methos takes two of the grateful harem girls and rolls around in bed with them. Maurice woos Lorna with his elvish charm and takes her for a ride as well.

Kazier gets into a drinking contest but loses because he's already drunk. The party goes on all day and into the night before everyone finally drifts off to sleep . . . .
